Re: constant force vs block and tackle

constant force vs block and tackle

How much of a difference in quality is there between the block&tackle vs constant force balance systems? I have read that the constant force is a better system but not sure if it would make that much of a difference in a single hung window which will not be constantly opened and closed during th...

Re: PGT windows

So the 4 inch frame would not be a problem for stucco install? That is only the width of the frame on each side? I think that would only affect the amount of glass area correct?

TLH, Do you know if the 2200 PGT would be the same quality as the 2360 window and if so does it have a flange so it can be installed in stucco? Thanks

Re: Installing PGT windows in stucco

Thanks TLH now I don't know what to look for as far as window MFG or type. Guess I don't know enough about windows to ask for what I want. As far as installers go I am sure some just want to install the easiest window and not worry about doing any modifications to the opening forr the type of window...

Re: PGT windows

TLH what do you mean by buck install? Does that mean the opening has to have wood frame before installing the window?

Re: Installing PGT windows in stucco

Why was I told that the 2360 would not work on a stucco install? If it has a fin will that work for stucco or do I need one with flange. I think the Gorell is out of my price range.
