I could be wrong but if Milgard corporate doesnt know about having the superspacer how the hell does one factory in Oregon have it and no others??? Search here an...

I think your mistaken when you say your Milgards have the Superspacer. They come with the Intercept spacer. It's the spacer that most of the windows I sell come with but I have never seen a Milgard with it. You sure you bought Milgard windows. I got Milgard Classic with Super Spacer from the Tualat...

How many times did they have to measure the screens? I got my new screens a few weeks ago and forgot to update here. They measured them once and sent out the screens a week or so later. The new screens are good - not perfect, but I am happy with them. One or two have tiny gaps at the top if t...

Milgard Classic review
First, thank all of you who participate on this board for the help in researching my window purchase. I found tons of info here that I could find nowhere else. I had single pane aluminum windows circa 1974 in my house, some with storm windows, some without. I had 12 of these windows replaced. I choo...

Just a point of clarification, Super Spacer is not available only in the East. I work in the Pacific NW and push the heck out of super spacer. I will check into it, but each and every plant that I am aware of can and will use super spacer if asked for. I got Milgard Classic with Super Spacer from t...

Re: Acceptable bowing
Tall sliders are nototrious for bowing. This is a manufacturing issue due to the difficulty of setting the glass to either the tape or sealant (glue). Typically most manufacturing people will tell you that 1/32" per foot (sash) would be acceptable. Since your bow is on the fixed lite, you're n...

How much bowing is acceptable in a window frame?
My Milgard Classic windows are being installed and one of them is bowed on one side. It is an 5 foot high XO slider and on the fixed side, if I put a straightedge on the glass and look at the vinyl, the frame is bowed in about 1/8 inch in the middle. The frame was obviously not straight when the gla...

You can get superspaceer in Milgard vinyl products in Oregon. Are you sure? I just talked to a salesperson about this and he said that he just spoke to his Milgard rep about this and they do not currently offer the Superspacer. I got bids from two other companies for Milgard windows and neither sal...

Something wrong with your #'s, contact your LBL dealer and get an update. That dp is incorrect. And some of the Milgard #'s are misleading. ... DP is the R-15 number? Unfortunately the salesperson I was working with did not seem to be very knowledgable about those ratings. And the LBL website does ...

... Back to the sound issues for pdxman1 - really why this format is here - to help folks with their window needs... you're right. The current configuration of a prime window and a storm may actually provide better sound abatement than a new insulated window. That is because of the distance between...

Your noise issue - what kind of noise? Depending on whether it is low frequency or high frequency, the glazing you mentioned may or may not give you the results you are looking for. Thanks for the the reply. I've read everything I could find here and elsewhere on windows and noise control. I don't ...

Deciding between Milgard Classic or LBL 2000 in Oregon

I have two fixed windows and the rest are sliding currently aluminum frame single pane circa 1974, some with storm windows added. Because I want to be sure that I am get...

... If you do, try and get in front of the commitee's and see if you can convince them to go white. White is more updated, and performs better, and will offer you more options with windows and costs. While colors are being discussed, I'll take the opportunity to ask if there is any reason not to go...
