Re: new to windows in CA, Los Angeles

Your 45 inch or so window will NOT meet egress, to narrow. I have not heard anything bad of Anlin, and understand it to be a solid product. Ply-Gem 200 series will serve you well, IMO. Anlin will make you a window that will meet egress for the 45 inch, so you might check ...

Re: Window recommendations for SF Bay Area/California

+1, I don't believe that any of those are available out there at this time. I have not used Anlin , nor have I heard anything bad. My recommendation would be to compare the performance ratings... The only windows that I personally feel confident in recommending out there are the Simonton and Milgard.

I take it from your response that you agree that most of the windows you and some others normally tout as the best simply aren't available ... please correct me if I'm wrong, that you don't have any experience with Anlin windows? Fom what I've heard, they haven't extended their reach to ...

I'm new to this board and am debating what kind of replacement windows to put into our place. We live in Southern California and I've looked at Greenworld(Platinum series), Plygem and Anlin(Monteverde) windows. They are all comparable in price though Anlin is slightly ...

Re: california windows???

Anlin is the best of that group. Might take a look at Amerimax and Simonton as they are likely available to you.

I'm in Northern Virginia so I'm not familiar with the choices available to you out west. Might try Amerimax, Anlin or Milgard.

Re: help me i am sick of looking for windows

You may be able to get Milgard, Amerimax, Anlin and Simonton. Those are pretty good brands. Sorry, I'm in the DC area so I'm really not familiar with the brands you have looked at so far.

Re: Windows to Choose

The Monte Verde series is a subdivision of Anlin.

I just called HD and scheduled to have a estimate tomorrow morning for the Simonton series. What are their biggest selling points?

Since I am in the Southern CA do I really "need" AR gas?

Thanks!
