I would begin a log of every comunication between every party. It is best if it is in writing, the comunications that you send to anyone.

IMO Pella makes the best clad sliding door, Proline, Designer, or Archtect, none of their others though.

Re: NW Ohio (Great Lakes Area) Replacement quesiton

I would look for an independant Simonton installer, look at both the 5300 and 5500 series, but nothing below those.
Look under roofing and siding supply and call and ask for a referal to a NITPICKER ( club of installers).

Re: Replacement Windows in North East

The dust reduction with Pella is that the mini blinds and or pleated shades are in a sealed air space and do not collect dust. WME= windows made easy, which is Pella's 5 year old retail approach to sell more windows. I my region they use subcontractors as there installers, PI= pella installers, most...

Re: Replacement Windows in North East

It appears most of the crew has little experience w/ Pella. I am the largest CPC in the Philly area. Not only that but we do install all mfg both low and high end. The Designer does qualify for the ETC. The unit is triple glazed, though all lites are not hermetically sealed. IG w/ low e argon and HG...

You need a very expereinced contractor, The stucco/eifs issue is real. A careful seasoned installer can retro fit a drip cap behind the sheathing.
