Re: Reccomendation for Simonton installers in North New Jersey?

The laminate is not over kill if you have a sound issue but I would drop the krypton it’s not worth the up charge. I would select the Super Sensor plus AR glass package in the 9800.

Re: Question about HomeDepot 6100 Series Windows with Low-E

The 6100 is manufactured by Simonton and is the same as the Simonton Reflections 5050. The flat grid and sculptured grid is 5/8” wide. Simonton also offers a 1” wide contour grid that will provide the look you are after. I think you will find that ProSolar low-e from Simonton is not too dark; in Flo...

Re: What brand of windows should I definitely AVOID?

I believe you are correct about Ideal and for that matter any of the other small window fabricators we have here in NJ.

I didn’t know that WindowRama installed; they may be a little risky for installation.

Re: Simonton/Grand Estates

It’s a private label program where Simonton makes it and ABC gives it a name and markets it. It’s the same as the program Simonton has with Norandex and Depot except that the window is not listed on the Simonton web site; at least not yet. Below is the link to the window you can see it's a 9800 with...

Re: Window comparisons in Hampton, VA

You will be very pleased with the Prism Platinum its equally as good as the Gorell product, The air leakage numbers are very confusing they range from .08 to the mid teens depending on size and build. Air numbers can be manipulated somewhat; Simonton shows all their results not just the best case sc...
