After reading more of this board, we are probably going to go with Okna 500. Today I got another quote for 15 DH Okna 500 - $6,999 (installation, screens and outside trim included) Is that good for CT?

well said window4u. incidentley, an OKNA insultec 500 will get the same performance results as the starmark. also, you cannot really compare starmark to simonton..starmark is a cellular pvc;much more expensive. starmark is comparable to anderson renewal in that regard.

The Imperial LS is the best in my opinion on that list.

For this region, the Simonton and Okna 500 are also good choices.

I do not know why I am being told that I need new construction windows. The same thing was told to me by others as well. I have vinyl siding outside and that is the reason they have given. To me, Window frames look all fine, only reason to replace is due to DRAFT.

windowsonwashington is correct. they use Duralite,one of the best spacers on the market. 440 is an extremely cheap price for that window.
