Look for another Schuco dealer if you can. Thier products are top notch. .22 is pretty much the norm for a triple krypton DH.

Some vinyl frames are indeed not sturdy enough for Triple pane glass. Many manufacturures use metal to reenforce them.

W on W is correct. Steer clear of painted extrusions. They scratch peel and fade severely. Try either Great Lakes, Gorrel or Sunrise. They have Brown/white combos in either a cap stock or true brown with white woodgrain interior.

I base all our installs on the interior finish. If the existing window has stops that are built into the frame or has to be cut in order to install the new window, we do it from the outside. When you cut the inside stops out or have to remove the trim to get at the stops, it's time consuming and me...

I'd say they are pretty equal windows. Certainteed is a pretty big company. Alsides products are good. Toss up really. I think the Alside has an insulated main frame.
