I agree with above, sounds like a winner in the Okna option. Not fan of SL Classico Craptastico.

Re: Which Window Is Better?

Cabal?! lol. I could give you no less than a dozen windows that are better, and at least a handful are available to your contractor at a local supply house, guaranteed. He's just too lazy, uniformed, or incompetent to offer you a good window. Yeah, thats who I'd choose for 20 windows and a 5 figure ...

These guys are too nice. A chimp with one arm and an advanced case of syphilis could do better than those first pics. the repairs look better. A chimp with 2 arms maybe.

Sash kits are the worst idea ever. Give your money to a charity instead, at least it will be doing good and you get a tax break

That pricing is fake news. Either they are going to come up with some hidden or forgotten charges, or you are gonna get the taillight warranty and a crappy install

Re: Vinyl window lead time in Philadelphia suburbs

Its colder now, are you planning to open your windows much? If they aren't operated (causing dust)and there's no paint chips laying around, the risk is no different than it would be if the windows were new. You could also put some old school 3m plastic insulator kits over them for peace of mind. The...

Re: Which Window Is Better?

What exactly are you looking for here calanagator? You have a guy that's clearly not a window specialist offering mediocre windows and at a cut rate price. Do you expect to get "hell yeah!" from professionals that redo jobs done by goons like this daily? His selection of windows alone says...

Re: Philly Suburb window replacement help

I'd do an installation like this with high performance product and stainless steel screws for $1669.

Ps. I'd recommend getting more bids for better windows.

Re: Install methods.

Should I anticipate any issues installing a 60x60.25 slider into a 60x60.25 rough opening? Yes. The mere question suggests that you may want to seriously consider having the siding guys install these for you. This isn't a cookie cutter install. If I were the siders I'd demand it or run from the job...

just do the vinyl casement. Looks and performs very close. Not sure about the comment about not liking the look and feel of vinyl, the CPVC composite looks and feels exactly like vinyl.

Re: Finding a Soft-lite dealer in central Ohio

Those could be alarming, but I'd take a look at other review sources as well. Some companies just don't do much with Angies list in generally, and others are soured on the fact that they are now owned by Home Advisor. Personally I've had home advisor leads say that they never contacted home advisor ...
