Vytex GrandView v Vytex Fortis

#1 Post by toblerone »

Please help! I am trying to compare the Vytex GrandView to the Vytex Fortis with the Energy Saver glass package. Quotes are the same so it’s really just a matter of me deciding which one is the better window. Window Nation is telling me the GrandView is better because it has triple glaze something that the Fortis doesn’t, But I haven’t been able to confirm that anywhere. Window Nation says GrandView is between Fortis and Potomac. Things I’m reading says the GrandView is an upgraded Georgetown and therefore between the Georgetown and the Fortis.

Anyway, I’m looking for an independent (not competing contractors) opinion on the two windows. The little that I’ve been able to find on the internet seems to say the Fortis is the better window. If someone can actually tell me which window is better and why, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I can not tell you why.
But I do not think I wold ever use the tweaked Grandview.
We are using the Potomac for some installs.

I would not let WN near a friends house.

Fortis, as a copy of another window, is a good window unit.

I’m not sure if I would call it a “ copy” if it is based off an extrusion sold by extrusion companies. My guess it is more of a variant based upon the same extrusion.

Eric is not sharing. He probably has good reason.
Perhaps he will email us personally with the info.

Blessings to all.

The Fortis is a vision extrusion and kind of a cross between a soft lite and sunrise.

Yes Wayne, we have and we liked it. I havent used it in a while but they have since added new locks that are super sharp looking.
