Anyone heard of National Vinyl Products in MA

#1 Post by bierhere »

I have a quote for windows from National Vinyl Products in Chicope MA and another quote for Okna 500 Insul-Tech Deluxe from two different contractors

Any opinions?

Where in MA did you get the Okna 500 quotes from?
I am trying to locate a dealer but the Okna website has a lot to be desired.

I'm using Watertite in Natick. They were the ones who suggested the Okna window. I had not heard of them before I started my window replacement search.

The install started on Thursday.

6 500 Series Deluxe Horizontal Sliders
3 650 Awnings
1 Bay Window that is a combination of 600 Series Casements/Picture Windows
1 Garden Window

Install is about 80% done. I'll withhold comments on reviewing the install/windows until its complete and they've been there a few days.

Some comments
I do like the smoothness of the casement/awning mechanisms. I'm also like solidness of the locking mechanism.
I do like the exterior profile of the window.
I'm impressed with the bay unit itself. Seems to have been well constructed.

They are replacing 25 year old metal frame windows with insulted glass. So, the profile and look of the windows is very different.

Please stay in touch and report back with a review of your install and if you are satisfied. Did you ever consider the Starmark? I am looking into Okna/Starmark in your area with the same cos. and your input would be greatly appreciated asap.

We never considered the Starmark. Mostly out of ignorance, but also because its a mid-range house and I didn't believe using higher end products was really going to help my resale. I was mostly concerned with replacing ugly metal frame, very inefficient windows that had broken seals / panes in many cases.
