As sliders go it is a very good window. I've never had a problem with an Elements slider.leftontheinside wrote:
Any thoughts on the elements slider? (would be 54 x 54).
Re: Typical Glass Loss on Window Replacment
The other thing we did to minimize glass loss was to change window types in a few cases. In our bathrooms, we had a small slider. We changed this to an awning window. It actually gave us equal glass almost, better ventilation, with some additional cost. I would never have thought to do it, but our contractor suggested it. I'm glad he did.
When we were replacing our front bow, the contractor we didn't use actually quoted us two different bows one that was more expensive, but had less glass lost. We ended up choosing a bay in place of the bow to again get more glass and less frame. We were very happy that we made this decision.
