Adjusting the sliding doors

#1 Post by rcasanova »

I have the Simonton windows 6500 series double pain windows. One of the sliding doors has a gap at the top between the top of the door and wall. How do I adjust it to where it closes the gap and prevents air from coming in and out? Can anyone help me?

If the gap is between the wall and the door, you need to call HD where you bought it and have them come out and fix it for free. That's supposedly covered under their warranty. If they won't fix it then you can try the hillbilly fix by spraying foam in the gap and hope for the best, but that door probably needs to be re-installed. Any idea what's causing the problem? House settling, bad install etc.?

Do you mean the operating panel is not parrell to the door frame.
If this is the case the rollers on the bottom of the operating panel can be adjust to try and correct it.
