Simonton vs MilGard - How much more glass?

#1 Post by bcal »

The tagline for Simonton Daylight Max is "Less Frame. More Glass" -

My question is how much more glass is there from Simonton Daylight Max on a retrofit with 30" wide and 72" high with a fixed pane on top and sliding glass on the bottom? Most curious with comparison with Milgard since that it a top feature.

Please advise.

thanks,

Bcal

As compared to Simonton's 5500 or 9800 series, the smaller framed series will probably have 1.5" more glass as compared to the larger frame unit.

Just ask the dealers you are working with to give you the VG, visible glass for the sizes provided.
