Window Replacement Quotes - Pella 250 vs Simonton VintagePointe 6100 and 6500 vs Okna 500 Deluxe

#1 Post by febzz »

Hello, I have received a few quotes for replacing 13 windows + 1 patio door and these are the following quotes I've received so far:

- Pella 250 series = $7,100 - $10,600* (materials) + $5,500 (installation labor) = $12,600 - $16,100*
- Simonton VintagePointe 6100 = $15,700
- Simonton VintagePointe 6500 = $17,360
- Okna 500 Deluxe = $13,100

* upgrading to Fiberglass Outswing Hinged Patio Door.

Any thoughts on these quotes would be much appreciated and also taking into account quality etc.

Thank you so much!

I would eliminate the pella as well as the simonton 6100. The Okna is the best quality by far on that list.
What exactly were you quoted for Okna and for how much?
What state are you in, some brands are regional.

Hi,

Here's more info on the Okna 500 deluxe quote:

Install 13 new Okna windows and 1 Patio door white in and out.

Included:
• Deluxe package
• U –factor 0.24 -0.26
• Half screen
• Aluminum capping
• Windows Foam
Total = $12.280.00
Install new wood prime casings around all windows and door. Total = $820.00
• Clean grounds free of any work related debris
• Permit included
• 5 years of labor warranty

The 13 windows are a combination of:
- 2 oversized double hung windows
- 6 double hung windows
- 3 sliding windows
- 1 oversized sliding window
- 1 awning window

I am in IL.

For that and a patio door, definitely on the lower end of the price scale to be certain. If you like the contractor and he/she is vetted, its a good price.

+1. That product is in a class of its own in that list that you gave, and that pricing is very aggressive. If the company offering it is reputable, this sounds like an easy choice.
