Black/Black vinyl windows

#1 Post by Lakegirl »

We are going to build a house in Eastern TN and would like a good quality vinyl window that is available in black interior and exterior. I can only find black exterior with white or beige interior. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What part of TN? Also...is it on a lake?

With regards to Black on Black, there is only one vinyl window that I know of with that option, and it isn't a very good product.

You are going to need to shift your search to the hybrid products and look for something like a Marvin Elevate.

Since there is more product available Black exterior and white interior why not consider changing your design.
You can then find an excellent high performance vinyl window.

Hi! I'm wondering if black vinyl windows are fade resistant?
I'm planning to install ones as they seem to be very popular.

FYI-lowes.. yeah I know. sells Pella windows about 25-30 YEARS out on orders.. joke. but.. they are a black fiberglass window that is black all the way through-not a paint. its the only option I have found.(with limited local resources)

Marvin can do on the Elevate and Essentials lines. In vinyl, Soft-Lite and Sunrise are two of the more premium brands with that option. I like the Sunrise the best as they allow one to option a woodgrain black laminate to a base tan or white extrusion before they perform the exterior black painting option. They exterior paint option has a very unique pebble matte finish which is very nice looking.

+1.

Wouldn't use the Impervia when the Marvin is out there.

Wayne, very little. I like them, but I can't justify the price verses the lack of performance over OKNA. They are like 2-3 weeks on very basic white or tan DH kind of stuff according to a phone call from them that I received last week. I had issues on the last multiple sliding patio door order that I did with them last year. I do like their exterior paints.
