Vinyl window welds

#1 Post by Sil2013 »

Hello, Attached are a few pics of some new vinyl windows I had installed. First time buyer of vinyl windows. These Corner welds are like this in a few of the windows. Is this normal to have this occur in some and not others? And do people accept this level of quality? Thank you.

Why are they so dirty? That is certainly not helping.

To answer the question, those are worse than I normally see dealing with a quality product, but lower end, lower priced products won't have the welds trimmed up as well in general.

Those are pretty bad and super dirty. You can take a sharpened 1/2" chisel and care fully clean the weld flash out and that will help quite a bit along with cleaning with something like Spray Nine.

Thanks for your input, I greatly appreciate it. This has been a difficult experience working with window world. Based on my purchasing experience, there is a quality control issue at the wincore plant and having this addressed has been a challenge.

They can be cleaned up as mentioned previously. Sadly, WW isn't know for choosing quality over price, ever.

Looks bad, but looks like you got what you paid for TBH. Sorry to say it.
