Difference in Reliabilt by Atrium and Lansing Windjammer
Difference in Reliabilt by Atrium and Lansing Windjammer
I am in researching replacement windows. I need 17 double hung, no grids, white, Low e, Argon, energy efficient. Can anyone explain to me the difference in the mid-quality Reliabilt at Lowes, and the Windjammer at Lansing. Both are made by Atrium? I live in North Carolina.

I don't know the nitty-gritty details, but to my knowledge, they are are both low-mid-grade products. Could do worse, but more likely could do better. Big box installs are more hit or miss than local installers, and you should try to avoid a pocket sill.

Thanks for the info, but what is a pocket sill?

It is where water is drained through channels inside the sill (frame) and evacuated through weep holes, as opposed to a sloped sill which lets gravity do the work, and lets no water into the frame.

They are the same window, but there is more than 1 series of window for each brand. These windows do not have pocket sills. The windows could have slightly different warranties between the different companies.
