Sunrise Vinyl or Pella Impervia Fiberglass

#1 Post by hs123 »

I see some posts on this when searching, but they are almost 10 years old. Is Sunrise Vinyl still considered superior to Pella Impervia Fiberglass (sliders and fixed)? Price is identical. TIA

Superior yes. Where are you located? There may be another good option or two for you to compare.

In that comparison, the Sunrise is the better product/company.

+1 on the where you are located question. We can make additional recommendations based on geographic region.

Both are windows, but in totally different product.
Apples to apples would be Pella vinyl(yuk) to Sunrise( very good to excellent)..
or Pella fiberglass (not my fav) to Marvin Essential fiberglass ( much better product).

I am super jealous you are in Colorado. I was just out there, Colorado, like 2 weeks ago. Man...I love that state.

Feel free to ping me via email if you want. I did sort of know someone in Colorado Springs...but that is obviously a haul.

Feel free to ping me offline for some unvarnished advice.

Hopefully we did a good job on your house.

I’d say the new buyers got lucky the old owners bought a quality product.

One of the things that encourages me about the group of pros here is Eric's example to help a person that he wont get anything from. I believe this type of human respect, kindness and service is true of all the pros I know on here.

Not sure how old this post is. I too find myself in this dilemma. I received a quote on Pella fiberglass, Anderson 100 and sunrise. Sunrise and Pella were the same price even though sunrise had a triple pane vs the double pane for Pella. Anderson came in $5k higher than both. Is one really superior over the other since prices are essentially the same? Is triple pane for Michigan over kill? We hear with Geo-thermal.
