Replacing Milgard SunCoatMax Windows

#1 Post by kennedy41 »

I have Milgard SunCoatMax (Low E) over 1/8 solar gray (tint) Tempered 1/8 . (U-Factor .31 SHGC .20 VT .29) Milgard has discontinued this window. Or it is now very difficult to find. The 366 clear is not dark enough to match. So I have been searching to find a match. Here are windows I am reviewing :
> Cardinal 366 over Gray ( hard to find)
>Cardinal 270 over Gray ( hard to find)
>Solarban 60 over Solar Gray
>Solarban 70 over Solar Gray

Any suggestions, Thanks

I didn't think that gray are bronze tint were even available. Have you checked?

Are they on the same elevation of the home where the replaced windows are?

I have a glass company say the Milgard SunCoatmax solar gray still available. Waiting for samples. May be special order and take time . Will wait and see. In the meantime back up plan to check Solarban for solar gray . the Solarban 70 (2) over solar gray comes close
