I have spent the last week researching the board and I have gathered that the first 2 are known to SUCK.
I live in CT and our current wood windows are 50 years old and extremely drafty so anything will be an upgrade. (They also have double the lead value and peel each time they are opened and with 2 small kids this is not worth the risk)
My uncle is a carpenter who will be installing them himself as he's doing all the repairs on our home. I am on an extremely limited budget.
11 28 x 37-5/8
2 24 x 37-5/8
4 32-1/8 x 49-3/4
2 20 x 53-5/8
1 picture 52 x 53-5/8
The quotes I received were (could not find anyone who carried Simonton)
---also everything is Low E/agron and no grilles
ReliaBilt 5600: $2863
AC 9500: $3154
Harvey Classic: $4100
7D Industries $3300 (except nobody has heard of them really on this site)
Also received a Plygem Great Lakes quote but unfortunately it was out of our budget at $6300
Thanks very much

Even with block and tackle, the Harvey's will easily outperform and outlast the AC's. I prefer the Harvey Slimline. Very sleek and a good performer.kcote75 wrote:For Low E/Argon no grilles (Both visible light is .54)

DP-35 is fine unless you live in a constant high wind and coastal storm area. Harvey's Casement Windows typically have much higher DP's and some are as high as DP 120.
