We've received several quotes for window replacments in our 1975 brick home. We live in Southern South Central Kansas, just 10 miles from Oklahoma border. Going to get 1 patio door, 1 Picture Window, 7 Casement Windows, and 1 Awning Window. The quotes we received were from Pella, Softlite, and Sunrise. The Sunrise Resotration series is what we are going with, but undecided on the glass. Ultra U Plus is standard, then Omega 12, then AR90(Tripple pane). I figured we would upgrade to the Omega 12 glass, using the Casement window rating of 0.26 Ufactor, 0.19 SHGC. We could upgrade further to Thermal U Plus, which brings these ratings to 0.22 & 0.19. Havent checked the price increase for the latter, but not sure if my location in Kansas would deem it necessary? Appreciate any comments.
thanks,
Jim

Re: Questions on Sunrise Window Glass
See what it costs, but you should try to get the most efficient window that you can. Certain things to consider based on where you live, but high efficiency triple pane is NEVER a bad deal.
