 LBL Vendor In Bay Area

Author: Jay (---.sfrn.ca.webcache.rcn.net)

We are considering using Low E LBL windows to remodel our entire house. Any suggestions on
- which series to use
- which vendor to use in the peninsula
- any pros, especially cons using LBL
Thanks.

Jay, what did you install? I'm still looking for information on LbL windows, not much on the internet. Emailed them, no response. I know the low end of the LbL series are the 2000, going upward to the 8000 series. I don't know how they compare to Certainteed, Milguard, etc. Would like to have this job done soon!

I installed LBL windows about a year ago. Whole house. Worst mistake I ever made. Seals failed in 6 months. Trying to get them replaced was like pulling teeth. Live and learn.

Wow, George, that's terrible. Is the installer blaming the windows or was it the installation that was the problem? They are supposed to be warranted for lifetime to the original owner, 2 years to next buyer.

Jay / SRC,

Did you ever get those LBL's installed? I heard LBL feature wise is comparable to Polybau. That one negative experience from George is scary.

Can you be more specific? Did LBL corporate gave you the runaround or the contractor company that installed them stalled. I have not heard horror stories from LBL this is the first time. I carry POLYBAU so LBL would be considered my competition. But i havent heard nothing bad from them. A lot of times manufacturers get a bad rep because their dealers misrepresent them or are just deadbeats. It would help all the people considering this product to know who to watch out from or at least to know if yours was a random ocurrence.
