Does anyone know of a replacement window that uses recycled or environmentally friendly materials?

This should not serve as my personal endorsement of this window although a very nice looking window I agree with most of the pro’s here that when you look at the cost and the energy ratings of this window it falls real short at that price point.

But to answer your question the 1996 March/April volume of Environmental Building News that is printed on recycled paper liked the Fibrex material used in Andersen’s Renewal product because it is “produced from post-industrial recycled wood and PVC scrap from Andersen’s manufacturing plants”.
