It's not a bad window, it's just not very good. The first time I put one in and went to shut it I thought I was going right through the wall with it. My problem with Alside has always been tolerances. The window is adquate in smaller sizes but when you add some width to it..........different story....

I'm from the Baltimore area too and been looking at Alside windows for the narrow frame to max the glass area. Regarding the manufactures/styles you choose...are they the wider frame style? Any Bow Windows? PS: I too just hate the long sales pitches...dread the whole process..just give me what I nee...

I like to get some recommendations on replacement dbl hung all vinyl windows ( low E/Argon) that have a thinner profile frame to maximize the glass area and give my windows a new construction look.
