I just recieved a call from the (new) owner wanting to know if I was interrested in
buying their windows again, I think not.
Thats if they are new owners or just under a new name to fool people again.

Company #2 the coil wrap is already in place and looks good, you will only need to replace it if you are cutting down the window. When I replace (old) wood windows I do it from the inside most of the times and the outside is not damaged, depends how they did it the first time to put in those alum wi...

Myself when I quote it, it would be lower because I wouldnt have to do as much on the outside of the house. What type of windows do you have now? wood, alum...

The blame they try to put off on the contractor is if there is any leakage. They will not cover any leakage on their part. The window itself, glass, locks, wheels and vinyl is all on milgard. they do not cover screens. Here in sf bay area in Ca they also include a glass breakage. Just make sure they...

Myself I would say go with milgard, they have a great warranty. HD has to make their money so that is one reason they are higher. They also use sub contractors (last time they tried to hire me as a sub) so you have to make sure the installers themselfs have all the insurance to protect you and your ...

Not all true, They can have an account with a window manufacturer, but as with alot of companys in CA. they use subs so they dont have to worry and workmans comp. The contractor you sign with has to give you the warranty, they require the subs to warranty their own work for at least 1 year. It is a ...

1. No problem here, the header over the door is for that. 2. It will be the same hieght, as they do have to remove the bottom piece only. 3. I like the looks of it, they match the windows with the fin around them. 4. No problems with the size, I have done 16' doors, but you want to make sure they in...
