Schuco alternatives
Now that schuco is not an option, what do the board experts think an acceptable alternative would be and why? Not trying to start a fight, but this might be a good opportunity for experts in the field to voice opinions on some of the many choices out there and also to give reasons to back up their c...

Since they have to pay for incomming calls on the toll free number, if you're not doing anything, give them a call and ask how the weather is out there. they might think twice about shameless ads on this site.

Pretty sure I've read about simington, softlite, allside, marvin, anderson, pella, comfort line, inlline, etc. on this board. You must be reading a different board than I am, or is there some reason Schuco stands out in your mind as the ONLY window on this board? Please share why you have a problem ...

Seaway window information
I was looking at the website for seaway windows and was impressed with U-Values, color choices, warranty information. Can any of the experts on this board shed light on this product? Mid price? High end? I see they offer triple pane with super spacer and krypton. They read like a decent product, but...

Hard to tell with the info given. What has to be done to your house? Woodgrain windows? Tan windows? Full screens? Etc, etc, etc. It could be a great price, or it could be out of line. Double check to make sure the picture window is triple pane. The size you gave could be out of schuco's specs for t...

Not quite sure about this , perhaps some of you Minnisota guys can help out. Didn't thermal line start out as a mpls. company called vinyl therm? I believe it did and that company went belly up in the 90's. It then popped up in North Dakota as thermal line and was sold to another company sometime ar...

Try Hy-lite products at hy-lite.com. they make and acrylic window that looks like glass blocks. It comes in assorted colors and finishes. Good quality product and I think it would suit your shower area perfectly. Hy-lite does come in casement style windows. by the way, your old tile failed and you a...
