American AC12
I just got a quote from HD last weekend. Thier special right now is $349/window installed for the AC12. If you don't live in Florida, it is $299/window I am told. My total was $5,575.
I just had Sears walk out of here with a quote of $13,634. I have requested a second quote from HD using the Silverline 8500 series.

Silverline is one of the lower priced brands we sell. Silverline at HD is the American Craftsman and the 1200 series doesn't belong anywhere. I sold the first twelve they ever made many years ago and they never were right and today they have improved them very little. If you really don't care about anything but filling a hole.........fine, but the price they have is high. I'm sure you can get them from Clear Choice for less if that's the kind of window you want. We sell almost always the 9500 series and it's respectable for the money. The 1200 is very thin framed and will react negatively to most any setting, extreme heat or cold. You should be able to go to Clear Choice and buy the 9500 for the price HD sells the 1200.
