Fire started while cleaning
A contractor client of mine uses Goof Off to clean paint off of new vinyl windows. Sometimes the paint is oil base and sometimes it's water base. The employees use Goof Off and a paper towel to clean over spray paint off the new windows, however some employees have had a sudden ignition, like static electricity, the paper towel actually ignites and burst into flames. Has anybody else had this happen? Goof Off is made up of highly flammable chemicals, it's obvious that this is very dangerous and they need to find a better way to clean the over spray off. Does anybody have a good suggestion on cleaning the paint off. Both oil and water base?
