I have builders grade windows which are falling apart rapidly. I have estimates for window world 4000, Okna 500 and Okna 600, as well as the pro via endure and MI 1550 series. Are there any that should be discarded for quality or of far superior quality. I have some concerns about glass area loss on some narrow bay windows are any of these better than others with respect to that.
Also folks have talked about wrapping my windows. What are the pros and cons of using a kerf cut to insert the wrap on the side of the windows. Is it worth an extra cost $25 per window?
Many thanks

Re: Windows in nc
What "kerf" cut are you talking about and who is charging $25 for that?
With regards to your list, the WW product doesn't belong in that comparison with the other ones that you have listed and the Okna window is the best performer on that list (both of them).

The one company wanted to charge to cut a slit down the side of the window into which the wrap would be inserted and then caused. They called it a kerf cut. Some company is do it others say not to do this. I wondered if it made a better seal or just risked getting water inside the house.
Thanks for the comments on windows, that helps

Re: Windows in nc
Never seen anyone cut a "kerf" into a window. Most windows will have an accessory groove integral to the extrusion and will allow the cladding to be tucked and sealed into the window frame.
Re: Windows in nc
Sorry I misspoke. The cut is between the old window frame and the siding
