 Fair Quote for replacement windows?

Hello,

This is a great site. I have learned a lot from the various experts.

I'd like to know if the following quote I received from a company is fair. I am in Southern CA. I have stucco on the outside.

I have 7 windows (or openings) to replace and one 6-foot sliding patio door.

The guy said I needed stacked windows as replacements in 3 of my rooms because of its size.

Here are the dimensions:
1 single hung 42 x 54
1 single hung 42 x 54
1 kitchen casement 30 x 35
1 bathroom slider 42 x 18
1 slider (stacked) 57 x 51, 57 x 25
1 slider (stacked) 57 x 51, 57 x 25
1 casement (stacked) 30 x 50, 30 x 25
1 patio sliding door 71 x 79

They will all be low e2 and some would be tempered glass to follow the building codes, per the salesman.

My quote is $5K. Is this a fair quote?

Any opinions or comments are welcome. BTW, they are using Polybau. I had another company that was going to use Palmer, but they were charging a lot more.

Thank you in advance.

At $30 per square foot you can't do any better than that. Congratulations.

That's a pretty fair price i would go for it.

Thank you for the responses.

I pulled the trigger and should have new windows in about 4 to 5 weeks.

EZ, your site was very influential in my decision on Polybau.

I will report back to the forum if the workmanship is up to par when the installation is completed and maybe recommend the installer to those in the SoCal area.

Thanks.
