Ditto - would like to hear about their Imperial windows. Price is about average of quotes I've had for mid-grade windows, approx. $10,500 for 19 windows installed, all white vinyl casements, 2 are solid picture windows and 6 with grids. Dual pane low-e and Argon fill, 7/8" space, fusion welded seams, etc. The contractor I called for install & quote was referred by local Simonton distributor because he had a good record of payment and low/no customer complaints to distributor over past 3-5 years. When he got here today he told me he was not doing Simonton anymore and changed to Soft-Lite. So he has little first-hand experience with them yet. Says he's been installing for 27 years and is optimistic about the quality of Soft-Light and sees them being a skosh better than Simontons he has been installing for several years. He warrants his install work for 2 years and will provide me references including some that had problems. The info. I see about the windows is not stand-out, warm edge with interceptor (is almost extra $100/window for super spacer & another $100+ for wood grain that I might want for a few downstairs windows.) I think the installer guy may be better than some I've met, but I don't know if these windows are wow compared to Simonton Prisms.

I have another Simonton contractor headed out later today. Sure would welcome feedback on Soft-Light....(their web-site is lame.)

Thanks,
-Doug
