Overall I found them to be well built, easy to install, and priced fairly.

I have noticed drafts with these windows.. They slide open easy but when you go to lock them it's very difficult. ALSO sometimes you need 2 people to lock them because the top slides down when you pull the window down. Someone has to hold the top in place in order to lock them. I replaced EVERY window in my home with Pella Thermostar's I purchased from Lowes and would NEVER do it again.. just sayin'.. The guy who installed them did a terrible job. They look good but I have to plug up the slide area to keep the drafts out.. TERRIBLE!

He was RUDE, he cut the wires in my walls so in my living room instead of having 8 outlets I have 4 now.. He completely RUINED the wiring.. Not sure he knew what he was doing. He called me names and my HVAC guy heard him and they almost got into a fight. Police had to come and remove him from my home..
Price Information
$60.00 per window for install plus the price of the windows... I replaced 10 windows, put in French Doors, and 15 light front and back doors... The place is adorable.

We purchased 7 regular windows and 1 bay window that was installed where we had a picture window. These replaced windows that were original to my 1959 house. They are great no problems with air leaks. I am pretty handy and installed them myself. With me doing the installing I made sure everything was sealed up nice and tight and added insulation where needed. I don't think you can blame Pella if you had a bad installer.
