... plan wood windows. I just have every window in the house replaced with Okna 500 delux(full review coming soon) however did not have these 2 replaced becuse in 5 to 7 years ...

... The old window was a 3-lite slider replaced by a 3-lite casement from Okna. I'm just passing on a thought, and I mean no disrespect, but if you're looking to spend $500 (average) for that size opening with a slider, you may end up not being much better ...

I was between the Verde and the Okna 500. The numbers were close and The Verde came with self cleaning glass. I decided to go with the Oknas because they were 1000 cheaper

What WOW is saying is on the south side of your home you may get some passive solar gain in the winter with the higher SHGC. This will help reduce your heating bills. I will caution you however that if you have no trees for summer cover you may also gain heat in the summer thereby negating the winte...

Okna's triple with ARGON is over 50% cheaper than their triple/krypton and still has a .19 U-Factor for those looking to save a little on triple pane. Other windows like the Softlite Elements are the same with their triple/argon ...

... savings. I'm just looking to pass along some benefit of hindsight because others have helped me on this board. In the end tho', I'd say going with Okna wouldn't be a bad decision given a proper installation.
